What is Canvas?

Canvas is Hazen Union’s Learning Management System. The Canvas portal is available for all classes at Hazen. Parents can sign up for a free account to view class resources and assignments for their child's classes.

Through Canvas, parents can (by class):

• Read announcements, view the course calendar and see the course syllabus
• Access assignments and due dates
• See your child’s assignments, but not discussion posts
• View your child’s scores on assignments; course grades are published in PowerSchool
• View the instructional content in the course
• Communicate with the teacher
